So, the blog that was formerly Left & Lefter has a new home (thanks WordPress!) and a new name. The name change has been in the making for a while as I got sick of L&L, but I just hadn’t been able to think of a new one until now.
Anarchia is also the name of my zine, which should be available both online (on this blog) and in hard copy (from your local anarchist infoshop) sometime in the very near future. It’s at 22 pages so far, just got to type up and format 3 or 4 more articles (all already written) then I’ll publish it.
In the USA in the 1800’s, many people who opposed a centralised federal authority and criticised the government were diagnosed with Anarchia, which was defined as having an “excess of the passion for liberty” that “constituted a form of insanity”. So thats where the name comes from.
I’ve transferred across some of the posts from Left & Lefter, but not all, because transferring many of them (such as the numerous “I’m going away, no posts for a while” posts) seemed pointless.
So, welcome to Anarchia, and I hope you enjoy what you read.

I’ve been using WordPress for a while on installs for other people (such as the Save Happy Valley occupation blog), but couldnt afford my own hosting so thus couldnt use it myself. As soon as I realised that they were offering free hosting, I jumped at it.

I came cross this blog because it links to mine, and I just referred to this posting on the term Anarchia and added some other material on diagnosis.
You have my blog (Dennis Fox’s Weblog) listed as being in Canada, but I’m in the US.
Also, you have me listed under anti-Zionist blogs, which suits me, but I also blog about anarchism and other topics. And I’m not sure some of the other blogs you have in that category would accept the anti-Zionist description.

I wasn’t able to find any related statement or comments regarding anarchia or anarchy on your main post so I spent some time looking at your random photos. I found most of your collection really related to your blog title EXCEPT for one. What’s the relationship of having a CHICKEN on your photo to anarchia or anarchy?

Well, the post with the chicken photo (http://anarchia.wordpress.com/2006/03/29/random-photos/) was titled “Random Photos” and did say “I figured I’d pick 10 of the ones that made me smile to chuck up on here.”
In fact, only 1 of those photos (the one with barbed wire) it outwardly political
